Executive Chef Franz Auer

Old Oyster Factory's Chef Franz Auer has been listed as one of Hilton Head Monthly magazine's "Most Intriguing People of the Lowcountry," and was voted by its readers as "Favorite Chef." A native of Austria, Auer apprenticed in Vienna, and developed his skills in Paris, London and Montreal before moving to the area. Auer joined the Old Oyster Factory for its opening in 1989 as executive chef. He is also the co-owner of Alexander's, Red Fish and the Old Oyster Factory.
